Question by Yellow cake: What kind of binocular do i need for star gazing?
I need one for general night time viewing and for birdwatching in the day time. I will be buying one online and also i won't be buying a tripod so yeah; what kind of bino should i be looking for?
What would i be able to see at night if i get a 7x50mm binocular?

7X50's are light and you can carry them around without the need of a tripod.
Just tell me when you want my binoculars. They are huge!
Clear skies!
No I didn't mean that I am selling my 25x100 nor I am selling anything. It's just that I am not using my binoculars lately and I feel like giving them away. Hehehe..,
With a 7x50 or a 10x50, you'd see more than what the naked eyes can see. The limiting magnitude would be a lot higher and you'll see a lot more stars than usual. For deepsky objects, well it will certainly help but not that much so don't "over-expect." Yet again, everything is still decided by how dark the skies you are under.
