Here's my problem... I've been taking seniors and others with less than perfect visual abilites out birdwatching. I'll say "there's a blue bird on the tree straight ahead, about 20' up..." half will say "I can't see it" the other half will say "oh, yes..." when not even half can see it. Give them binoculars, it is a lost cause...
Here's my idea, use a camborder such as this: http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electronics/shop/Cameras-Camcorders/Camcorders/Standard-Definition-Camcorders/model.SDR-S50K_11002_7000000000000005702 which can zoom in really close. Then put it on a 19 or 22" TV running off a UPS battery backup sitting on a table. When I see something, they see it prescription medications online on the screen. A 25' or even 50' cable gives me the flexibility to move around. The problem is will I lose quality. Keep in mind it doesn't have to be broadcast quality, these people don't care. It gets them outside. It gives them an extremely easy way to see what I see with my younger and trained eyes.
Thanks.
